General Terms and Conditions

Please read carefully these General Terms and Conditions as they set out your and our respective rights and obligations. Once you begin your Tour, by default you accept these terms and conditions.

These are the general terms under which tour operator SIA “i-Dā” (hereinafter “i-Dā” Adventures) offer tours and other travel experiences (hereinafter Tours). By booking and paying your deposit for a Tour, you are entering into this Participant Agreement with “i-Dā” Adventures. Please read these terms carefully before making a deposit or payment for a Tour. These terms may be supplemented by additional specific terms and conditions specific to your Tour, including Package Travel Contract, Day Tour Contract, and Custom Tour Contract (hereinafter referred to as “Specific Terms and Conditions”). In the event of a conflict between General Terms and Conditions and Specific Terms and Conditions, the Specific Terms and Conditions will apply.

Once “i-Dā” Adventures confirms your booking, the contract consisting of General Terms and Conditions and/or Specific Terms and Conditions is made between “i-Dā” Adventures and you. “i-Dā” Adventures will only confirm your booking once “i-Dā” Adventures has received full payment for your tour unless specified differently for a specific Tour in Specific Terms and Conditions.

1. Booking

Booking with “i-Dā” Adventures can be done online (via internet domains,,, by email, phone, in person, or via an agent.  Once the payment is made your booking confirmation will be emailed to you. This is your confirmation of booking. This should be printed and/or saved for your own reference.

Once you begin your Tour, you accept and abide by General Terms and Conditions and Specific Terms and Conditions.

“i-Dā” Adventures accepts no responsibility for incorrect email or inability to deliver email. If your confirmation does not arrive on time or at all, then you must ask “i-Dā” Adventures to resend the email confirmation of the Tour you have booked and paid for.

All emails to “i-Dā” Adventures should be sent to the email address 

All internet bookings or bookings by email, phone, in person, or via agent will be confirmed by email.

“i-Dā” Adventures reserves the right to sell any places reserved without full payment or a deposit.

It is the responsibility of the passenger to check the accuracy of dates and times booked upon receipt of their travel documents.

Any internet bookings made after 9:30 p.m. for the following morning can not be guaranteed by “i-Dā” Adventures.

2. Insurance

There is no travel insurance cover included in the price of “i-Dā” Adventure Tours.

“i-Dā” Adventures takes no responsibility for any injuries or loss to you incurred during, before or after the Tour. “i-Dā” Adventures strongly recommends that you take out comprehensive insurance cover for cancellation, medical expenses, personal accident, personal baggage, money, and public liability before you travel. You may not be accepted as an “i-Dā” Adventures guest unless you have arranged satisfactory insurance. “i-Dā” Adventures takes no responsibility for the theft, loss, or damage to personal belongings at any time during the duration of your tour.

3. Cancellation

You are entitled to a full refund for our one-day Tours only if you give “i-Dā” Adventures a minimum of 48-hour notice of your intention to cancel prior to your respective Tour.

For the package tours and custom-made tours please refer to the Specific Terms and Conditions for our cancellation policy.

If you cancel your Tour you can choose to change it to another date (subject to availability).

If you are late for your Tour or are a no-show, you will get fully charged for the Tour that you have booked because “i-Dā” Adventures has reserved a seat or seats for you.

“i-Dā” Adventures needs a minimum number of people as set out for each specific Tour to operate the Tour. “i-Dā” Adventures gives time until 9 pm the day prior to the Tour to reach this number and will then contact customers with details of cancellation and/or reimbursement.

“i-Dā” Adventures may cancel the Tour because of inappropriate weather conditions, sickness of the tour guides, pandemic outbreaks, and other circumstances beyond our control in cases when a safe, smooth tour operation cannot be guaranteed. In such cases “i-Dā” Adventures will inform you about this as soon as possible and you will receive a full refund of the payment for your Tour within 14 (fourteen) days after cancellation. However, should there be any expenses as payment transfer charges, cancellation charges, penalties, etc. which “i-Dā” Adventures has already paid or will have to pay for services not provided because of tour cancellation, these expenses shall be deducted from your refund.

4. Changes by us

“i-Dā” Adventures reserves the right to change its itineraries at any time and at our discretion following the Special Terms and Conditions where applicable. As professionals “i-Dā” Adventures will endeavor to avoid this and if this is necessary, “i-Dā” Adventures will substitute alternative arrangements of comparable monetary value.

“i-Dā” Adventures reserves the right to alter the Tour itinerary in the event of happenings outside the control of “i-Dā” Adventures.

“i-Dā” Adventures may apply surcharges for private tour requests.

“i-Dā” Adventures is constantly striving to make our tours even more brilliant than they are perceived by many to be, therefore should attractions open or become open to us, that we feel will enhance your experience of our beloved motherland then “i-Dā” Adventures reserves the right to include these in your best interests.

“i-Dā” Adventures reserves the right to decrease the price of tours at any time.

“i-Dā” Adventures reserves the right to amend information in our public domains at any time.

“i-Dā” Adventures reserves the right to cancel a Tour if “i-Dā” Adventures has an insufficient number of participants to operate this Tour.

5. Travelling

You must obey the laws of the Republic of Latvia, and the European Union, whilst traveling in Latvia. “i-Dā” Adventures asks you to show respect to the local customs, nature values, environment and follow the principles of sustainable travel. If you do not do so, you may be asked to leave the Tour without any refund. It is our representative who will decide on your further participation in the Tour and his/her decision will be final.

Your appointed “i-Dā” Adventures Tour Guide may need to make a decision in the interests of safety. It is a condition of all bookings that you comply with the authority and decisions of the appointed representative of “i-Dā” Adventures. In case you fail to do so or you are not compatible with the general enjoyment and wellbeing of other participants of the Tour, “i-Dā” Adventures reserves the right to refuse to allow you to continue the Tour. In such a case “i-Dā” Adventures will not be liable for any refund, compensation, or any additional costs incurred by you. “i-Dā” Adventures also does not take any liability for the behavior of other participants on your Tour.

It is your responsibility to arrive at your Tour at arranged points. Because of the nature of the service, “i-Dā” Adventures will not be liable if any service leaves or arrives later than its specified time, even if as a result you miss a connecting service. “i-Dā” Adventures will endeavor to ensure that departure and arrival times are met.

6. Your obligations and responsibilities

You must inform us in writing of any medical condition that requires attention or medication before your Tour commences.

It is your responsibility to have all necessary visas, passports, permits, and certificates required for your selected itinerary as well as any necessary vaccinations and to comply with all applicable laws.

During your Tour your Tour guide may take photographs and films of you (as part of a group) while you are a passenger and these may be used in our websites and social media pages, marketing materials, advertising, and publicity material without obtaining any further consent or payment in respect of such photographs and/or films.

When you book with “i-Dā” Adventures or contact us, using our online submission forms, email, phone, or any other means of communication, you fully agree with our Privacy policy, which is considered as an intrinsic part of the General Terms and Conditions. When you book with “i-Dā” Adventures, you accept responsibility for any damage or loss caused by you. Full payment for any such damage or loss must be paid at the time direct to the accommodation owner or manager or another supplier. If you fail to do so, you will be responsible for meeting any claims (including legal costs) subsequently made against “i-Dā” Adventures as a result of your actions.

You are obliged to respect the right of residents living close to any stops made while on Tour.

7. Complaints

In the highly unlikely event that you may wish to make a formal complaint against “i-Dā” Adventures please inform “i-Dā” Adventures Representative at the time. If the matter cannot be resolved immediately or during your trip after the Representative’s best endeavors to do so, your complaint should be made in writing to “i-Dā” Adventures as soon as is reasonably possible after the Tour, but within 30 days thereof so that your complaint can be investigated. “i-Dā” Adventures will not consider any claims after the 30-day period. You will be assured of respect and courtesy whilst your complaint is being dealt with.

8. Weather Conditions

Under no circumstances can “i-Dā” Adventures be held responsible for weather conditions. No Tours can be canceled or amended by you at any time on the basis of weather conditions. “i-Dā” Adventures accepts no responsibility for weather conditions that may affect the delivery and implementation of our itinerary.

9. No Smoking Policy

“i-Dā” Adventures does not permit smoking on any of our vehicles.

10. General

General Terms and Conditions and Specific Terms and Conditions may only be varied in writing only by a duly authorized officer of “i-Dā” Adventures.

General Terms and Conditions and Specific Terms and Conditions and all matters arising out of them are governed by Latvian and EU law. Contractual parties agree that any dispute, claim, or other matter which arises out of or in connection with these terms and conditions will be dealt with by the Courts of the Republic of Latvia only. Changes to these Booking Conditions will only be valid if agreed by “i-Dā” Adventures in writing through email correspondence.

Every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of our brochures and other information material, however “i-Dā” Adventures cannot be held responsible for printing and typographical errors, or changes in the itinerary arising from unforeseen circumstances after the material has gone to the public.
