Incredible Day in Nature A huge thank you to Rolands, our knowledgeable, professional and witty guide. We appreciated his deep local and academic knowledge of his beautiful countryside. His personal perspective on conservation, history and culture made us really fall in love with Latvia. Exploring the nature after days in the city Riga helped us understand Latvians.

Winter wonderland We did this tour with Rolands who has a background in nature conservation and who is very knowledgeable about different trees and ecosystems. He was very friendly and paced the walking to our speed.
I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Latvia as it shows the differences between two major ecosystems in Latvia : bogs and swamplands. It was great to disconnect from the city and breath in the pure air of the countryside (even the sulphur smelling air of the swampland!!)
Our trip was on New Year’s Eve and we were very fortunate to have the sun in the sky and perfect snow all around us. It was like being in a winter wonderland.
This is the kind of tour that could be done several times as the different seasons will each add something new to the experience.

We had an amazing experience: Dolev Galski We had an amazing experience exploring Kemeri National Park. Our guide, Rolands, was fantastic: friendly, knowledgeable, and shared interesting information about the different ecosystems we visited. We also had enjoyable conversations about Latvia and life in general.
The scenery in the park was beautiful, especially the bog area, which had a unique, almost otherworldly atmosphere. We were able to see all three types of wetlands as well as the Baltic Sea shoreline.
The picnic lunch that Rolands prepared was delicious and included a nice selection of local food and drinks.
Overall, I highly recommend the “Best of Kemeri National Park in One Day” tour to anyone interested in nature and learning more about Latvia.

Beautiful hike through the Nature of Latvia! Rolands was an absolute delight and an exceptional guide! Really enjoyed the whole experience and seeing the nature aspects of Latvia! This is a great 1/2 day adventure to round out a visit to Riga!

Amazing nature, passionate tourguide! We had an amazing day together with Rolands. He picked us up right on schedule, and in the car his enthusiasm for the tour was immediately apparent! He told us all about the day, about what we could expect. The tour exceeded all our expectations, it was truly beautiful.
Rolands was very informative, told us all about the area, the history, the nature.

Not only did we enjoy the hiking and breathing in the fresh air, we also learned some very interesting things! Rolands was very friendly and talkative and we could ask all the questions we want, even about the Latvian language and traditions. He was also very helpful, when my wife had trouble with some paths, he helped her.
Even when she stubbed her toe, it didn't take any joy out of the day.

We had so much fun and laughed a lot. The lunch was also very well prepared and very delicious. Rolands thought of everything, took many lovely pictures, we couldn't have asked for a better guide, paldies Rolands!

Amazing Latvian Nature Experience Our guide, Rolands is a super person full of enthusiasm, extremely knowledgeable and very pleasant. The tour was the Great Kemeri Bog and Forest Hiking Adventure. The scenery was beautiful and Roland’s commentary was very comprehensive and enjoyable. During this excursion, it became evident how much pristine nature in Latvia has been preserved. The hike was a great workout in a truly gorgeous place. I would highly recommend this experience and Rolands, our fabulous guide!

Perfect nature tour This is a fantastic tour of a unique environment that allows you to become fully immersed in the special landscape of Latvia. I was lucky enough to do the tour in mid September when the vibrant colors of the moss, other plants, and trees made the big a sight to behold. The guide, Rolands, was extremely knowledgeable about the ecology and environment! He was patient with all of my questions and a pleasure to have as a host.
